Connectivism

My networks have helped me learn by providing fast access to various types of information. The digital tools that best facilitate learning for me are audio and visual diagrams.  When I have questions, I conduct an internet search.  I also ask people (face-to-face) a lot of questions.

  1. Your diagram is interesting in that you have information with a separate node from the people node. I found that it was difficult to divide up the connections since they all seem to be interconnected. This reminds me of what Siemens says about the connections being nodes and the nodes grow, but they are in many ways connected across the information categories. For instance, my mother would fall into the people category, but she is a wealth of information and knowledge and would be part of many different .categories of knowledge.

  2. Hi Andrea: I found it interesting how you divided the connections, my impression was similar to Debbie's above, in that I found the items like media and iPads difficult to separate. Keep up the good work!
Is it important in a mind map to try to demonstrate how nodes are interconnected?
